Nephrolepsis Fluffy Ruffles Fern
Imagine a fern called Fluffy Ruffle and you’ve no doubt got it right!
This little evergreen fern is commonly called Boston Swordfern, but we all like Fluffy Ruffles more. He’s a flooffy delight with extra softness created by his finely divided shiny fronds.
But despite his pretty flooffiness, this is a pretty tough little thing that’s easily grown in a hanging basket, on a balcony or in a warm shady border.
Nephrolepis species are frost tender but are easily grown in mild areas in a position in full shade or part-shade with moist humus-rich soil and steady high humidity. They are super popular as indoor plants. In cooler climates, if they are grown in heated indoor situations, ensure they receive plenty of bright filtered light and ample water.
