We have Isolepis Nodosa, also known as the Knobby Club Rush, here and you’re going to love it.

This is an upright gently weeping grass that’s a perfect choice for coastal landscaping due to its tolerance of ocean winds. It grows naturally on frontline sand dunes so you know it’s a toughy.

It’s a mid-green shade that mixes well with other ornamental grasses without clashing or competing colours and creates the perfect backdrop for white flowers.

Isolepis Nodosa keeps that bright green shade all year round and during summer as a bonus, you’ll spot unobtrusive cream flower heads.

This grass is one of our no-maintenance drought-proof plants that can be popped in just about anywhere and left to thrive without fuss.

• What to use me for: I look wild and free when I’m mass planted and the wildlife loves me. If you’re struggling with a coastal garden I’ll fill up your beds and protect the soil.

• I grow to: I’ll reach about a metre high and 50cm wide

• Where to place me:  In full sun or partial shade, please

• How far to space me:  Give me about 50cms of room

• Soil Conditions: Anything. I’m not fussy but do appreciate water until I’m fully established.
