Chrysanthemum Silver and Gold is a striking Japanese species which forms a compact shrub with deeply-lobed green leaves, attractively edged with silver. The unique foliage colour is retained year-round. Small, yellow button-like flowers appear in Spring, and also in Autumn in the warmer climatic zones. It is especially tolerant of summer heat and humidity. The plants may be kept even more compact by ‘pinching out’ the new growth in Winter.
