Bougainvillea Purple Gypsy

Bougainvillea Purple Gypsy has deep purple bracts set against shiny dark green leaves. It is a medium grower and flowers well. It is adaptable to tub culture, hedging, screening, rambling or being trained over fences, walls and pergolas.

Bougainvillea are long flowering and can be adapted for a wide variety of landscaping uses. Some of these uses include topiary, hedging, hanging baskets, arbours and arches. Today’s Bougainvillea have a great range in growth habit and height. There are dwarf varieties that grow to only a metre, compact medium growers and some such as White Cascade that offer a beautiful cascading habit. 

Bougainvillea prefer a well drained soil and sunny position.The range of colours offers limitless combinations and a palette to choose from that would satisfy any landscape design.

Don’t tease or disturb roots but rather water the pot well, gently invert and tap pot on the side of a hard surface so it slides out. Our recommendation is to plant our beautifully-grown Bougainvillea into a larger pot rather than directly into the ground
