Bougainvillea Chitra is one of the larger growing types of Bougainvillea available. The leaves are large, thick textured, dark green with rounded, pointed tips. The bracts are thick, bicoloured and are a rich magenta-red and white in colour. The emerging bracts have a distinct gold colouring.
Bougainvilleas are long flowering and can be adapted for a wide variety of landscaping uses. Some of these uses include topiary, hedging, hanging baskets, arbours and arches. Bougainvillea prefer a well drained soil and sunny position. The range of colours offers limitless combinations and a palette to choose from that would satisfy any landscape design.
If you prefer your plants just that little bit bigger the 3 pack x 85mm pots is for you.

Please note: At this small size, Bougainvillea have delicate roots and should be handled with care. Don’t tease or disturb roots but rather water the tube well, gently invert and tap tube on the side of a hard surface so it slides out. Our recommendation is to plant our beautifully-grown Bougainvillea into a larger pot rather than directly into the ground.
Sometimes bougainvilleas have a mind of their own and can change the colour of their bract due to genetic or environmental factors. That is the beauty of nature, but unfortunately, we cannot 100% guarantee the bract colour will stay true to form
